A word from the President

The solidity of name and legacy combined with entrepreneurial flexibility is the success factor of awn enterprises. First, there was the idea; we come from two family companies that has built the name and the legacy over the years (AlBassam and AlTamimi). Both companies have their own business focuses and special organizational structures. And so we saw an opportunity to take the chance and create a new company to become an umbrella for new ideas that may have not been entertained in the “moving trains” of the “parent” companies while maintaining the vital and unique relationship with these organizations. Then came the seeds; the project management office in A. S. AlBassam & Sons and Pattis France restaurant in Tamimi Group. Both establishments were too small and out of the core-businesses of the parent companies. With those two seeds, my wife, Norah AlTamimi and myself founded awn enterprises in 2009. Today, I am excited and even more curious to see what this organization will achieve in the near future.

Our previous achievements and what we want to achieve yet could never see the light of day without having a team with the excitement and the forward looking that it takes to be successful. This is why we have surrounded ourselves with the best. Developing expertise is now a main obligation. Every morning I come to work I feel so proud to be working side by side with my great brothers and sisters.

We do not claim perfection. In fact, we are at our first step. We are not saying that we are creating the biggest and the best company in the world. However, we certainly strive to become the preferred partner to those who want to invest, the best workplace for those who want to work, the most qualified manager for our owner’s wealth AND the greatest neighbor for our society and environment.

Under an ambitious Vision 2030 of the nation’s leadership and a country that looks forward for our collaboration in development, we aim to lead extended-value-adding enterprises that provide returns that are sound, safe, growing and sustainable while also coming back to the society and the environment with good and positive influence…

… Thus, everyone shall remember us in goodwill.
